European Mandolin and Guitar orchestra
The European Mandolin and Guitar Orchestra "Il Forum musicale" was created as a long-term project in the context of the European Capital of Culture Esch2022. The orchestra is composed of 40 musicians from all over Europe bringing together professional musicians and the best students from European music conservatories in order to work on an original and demanding repertoire.
"Il Forum musicale" is particularly aimed at young musician in order to offer them a unique experience and to support the musical training of future professional artists.
Sharing of the European spirit and values: Through its international composition the orchestra enables the musicians to get to know other cultures and forge close ties of friendship across the European continent. In this way the European Mandolin and Guitar Orchestra also contributes to a better understanding of Europe's multicultural diversity.

Applications will be accepted depending on the total number and the required level. We reserve the right to refuse certain applications. Musicians who were already part of il Forum musicale in 2022 will be given priority.

You will receive an email confirming your application as soon as possible.
The scores will be sent to you in advance so that you can work on them beforehand. You are expected to have practiced your part before coming to the 1st work phase.
The participants commit themselves to respect the sanitary protocols set up by the organizers.
